About US
Hi, I’m Nora.
I didn’t set out to build a ministry or a platform. I started FaithNora because I kept running into the same problem in my own walk with God: there’s no shortage of places online that will tell you about Christianity, but far fewer that meet you exactly where you are on an ordinary Tuesday — anxious before a doctor’s appointment, wrestling with a verse you just read, or simply needing five quiet minutes with Scripture before the day pulls you under.
So I started writing the things I wished someone had already written for me.
Why This Site Exists
I’m not a pastor. I don’t have a seminary degree hanging on my wall. What I have is years of reading the Bible imperfectly, praying through seasons that didn’t make sense, and slowly learning that faith isn’t about having every answer — it’s about showing up, again and again, even when you don’t.
FaithNora is my attempt to hand that back to other people. Not polished theology. Not a sermon. Just a verse for the exact thing you’re carrying today, a prayer you can borrow when you don’t have the words yourself, or a plain-language walk through a Bible passage that left you more confused than comforted.
What I Believe
I hold to the basics of historic Christian faith — nothing exotic, nothing reinvented. I believe Scripture is God’s Word and trustworthy for how we live, that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior, that His death and resurrection are the center of everything, and that the Holy Spirit is present and active in the life of anyone who follows Him. I don’t claim to have every doctrine settled, and I try to write honestly about the questions I’m still sitting with rather than pretend otherwise.
As Scripture puts it plainly:
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” — Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)
That verse has anchored a lot of what I write here — not as a promise that life will be easy, but as a reminder of whose hands we’re actually in.
What You’ll Find Here
Scripture, explained simply. Verses, Bible stories, and character studies broken down in plain language — for anyone reading on their own without a study guide in hand.
Prayers for real moments. Morning prayers, evening prayers, and prayers written for specific weights — anxiety, grief, healing, a hard conversation you’re dreading.
The everyday side of faith. Forgiveness, gratitude, hope, trust — the parts of following Jesus that show up in ordinary life, not just on Sunday.
A few quiet minutes each day. Short devotionals meant to be read with coffee in hand, not homework to finish.
Holidays through a biblical lens. Christmas, Easter, Good Friday, Thanksgiving — what these days actually mean, beyond the decorations.
Faith at home. Marriage, parenting, and friendship, viewed through the lens of following Christ together with the people closest to us.
How I Handle Scripture
I try to read verses in context rather than lifting a single line to make a point it was never meant to make. When the translation matters to the meaning, I say so. I don’t have a theology degree to lean on, so when I’m uncertain, I try to say that plainly instead of pretending to more authority than I have.
Who This Is For
You don’t need thirty years of church attendance to be here, and you don’t need to have your doubts resolved first. Whether you’ve read the Bible cover to cover or you’re opening one for the first time this week, there’s a place for you in what I’m building.
A Few Honest Limits
FaithNora is one woman writing from her kitchen table — not a church, not a counseling practice, and I’m not a licensed pastor or mental health professional. If you’re facing something serious — a health crisis, a legal matter, a mental health struggle — please reach out to a qualified professional or a local church alongside anything you read here. I want this site to point you toward help, not stand in for it.
Say Hello
I read every message that comes through. If something here encouraged you, challenged you, or you just want to introduce yourself, I’d genuinely love to hear from you at faithnora.com@gmail.com.
Grace and peace to you today.
— Nora
